Urimat's urinals use zero water, are odorless and chemical free. Urimat works via a drain trap with a hydrostatic float, a patented design that proves Urimat as the top waterless urinal now saving an ever-growing 4,000,000,000 liters of water per year. Drain Trap with Hydrostatic Float The patented and exchangeable drain trap insert siphon used in the URIMAT Urinals collects the urine and discharges it (without using water) into the drainage system. The hydrostatic float seals the insert (without a sealing liquid) and prevents bad odors from escaping. The patented drain trap insert (A) guarantees the smooth operation without sealing liquid. It is inserted into the respective opening in the urinal. The urine flows into the cylindrical internal piece (B) of the drain trap and from there into the overflow area. (C) The urine pushes the float up (D), sealing the intake of the drain trap. The flexible sealing lip (E) keeps odors sealed in. The urine is diverted into the sewage system via the drain trap overflow. CLEANING The special bowl design of URIMAT waterless urinals possesses no hidden rims and surfaces upon which bacteria and deposits can accumulate. Our cleaning instructions explain the quick & easy cleaning process clearly in just a few steps. Simply spray the URIMAT with MB Active Cleaner and wipe the outside & inside of the bowl with a clean paper towel. Then spray the inside of the urinal. Finished! (Spray-Wipe-Spray) The siphon change frequency depends on the individual usage of the facility. The disposable drain-trap siphon insert is made from environmentally friendly polycarbonate and can be changed in less than a minute and disposed of as a normal household waste item.
